Sarene Marshall

Sarene Marshall is an Adjunct Professor in Northwestern University's Master of Science in Energy and Sustainability (MSES) Program. She currently serves as Chief Sustainability Officer at Galway Sustainable Capital, leveraging nearly three decades of global sustainability experience across sectors like real estate, climate policy, and international development. Her teaching includes ISEN 472: Climate Activism and Its Business Impacts.

• Education: MBA and MA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School / Lauder Institute; BA in International Affairs from George Washington University

Her career spans roles at the Inter-American Development Bank, Urban Land Institute, The Nature Conservancy, and Mercer Management Consulting, focusing on sustainability program development, carbon footprint measurement, and climate policy. She is a fluent Spanish speaker with extensive Latin America experience.
