Sarah Zakaria

Sarah Zakaria is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Nonprofit Administration & Research within the College of Arts & Sciences at Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS), where she has taught since 2017. She also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of San Diego, instructing courses on nonprofit management and fundraising methods across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

Zakaria's research focuses on resource access for youth experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Her work bridges philanthropy, education, and community service, with a particular emphasis on youth leadership in nonprofits and alumni giving in higher education. Zakaria's career includes board leadership roles at the San Diego Audubon Society and Museum Educators of Southern California.
