Sarah Wilson

Dr. Sarah Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology, Social Policy & Criminology at the University of Stirling, serving as Head of Division. She specializes in qualitative research methods, particularly visual and artistic approaches, and investigates themes like childhood, health, and family dynamics. Her work includes a British Academy-funded project on Armenian youth migration and evaluations for the Life Changes Trust. She actively contributes to the International Sociological Association's Visual Studies group.

Dr. Wilson holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh (2003) and is a non-practising solicitor with expertise in family and medical law. She teaches core modules like 'Applying a Sociological Lens' and 'Sociology of Childhood,' emphasizing engaging pedagogical methods. Supervised PhD topics include Compassionate Communities, CSO Orders, and Iranian diaspora representations.
