Sarah Wegener

Sarah Wegener is a Lecturer and PhD candidate at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz's Department of English Literature and Culture. She specializes in nineteenth-century British literature with a focus on poetic representations of gender and embodiment.

Her doctoral research examines maternity and female bodies in Victorian poetry. Teaching responsibilities include courses on poetic forms, Gothic literature, and gender representations across the long nineteenth century.

She supervises bachelor's theses related to nineteenth-century literary studies.
