Sarah Tyson is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Colorado Denver. Her research focuses on feminist philosophy and critical prison studies, emphasizing epistemic justice, gender-responsive approaches to violence, and the philosophical implications of mass incarceration.

Her scholarly work interrogates the historical exclusion of women from philosophical canons, advocates for prison abolition frameworks, and explores the social ontology of safety through radical anti-violence practices.
