Sarah Smitherman Pratt

Dr. Sarah Smitherman Pratt is a Lecturer in the Ed.D. in Leadership and Organizational Change (EdD-LOC) program at Baylor University's School of Education. She previously held Assistant Professor positions at the University of North Texas and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. With nearly three decades of educational experience, her work focuses on complex conversations, mathematics education, and curriculum theory.

Her research explores how ideas and images generate and enrich emergent understandings in professional settings, with a particular emphasis on mathematics education and curriculum innovation. Dr. Pratt teaches courses including Psychology of Learning, Social Foundations for Education, Leadership and Organizational Change, and Mixed Methods Research. She actively serves as faculty advisor for EdD-LOC cohorts and is involved in community service as a caregiver for the Isaiah 117 House fostering care initiative.
