Professor Sarah Quinton is Dean of Research, Knowledge Exchange & Innovation in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences at Oxford Brookes University. Her research explores how digital environments shape behavioral changes across society, business, and consumers, with particular focus on digital adoption impacts. She also investigates methodological challenges and ethical considerations in digital social science research.
Her interdisciplinary work examines digital strategy alignment in SMEs, social media's influence on well-being, and consumer behavior in online retail environments. Recent publications analyze utilitarian vs. hedonic attributes in e-commerce, visual participatory methods with older adults, and ethical frameworks for marginalized groups.
Professor Quinton teaches Research Skills Development and Early Career Researcher Development courses. She supervises PhD candidates including Junior Oliveira de Almeida (studying child-produced YouTube content) and Kumar Shrayamsa (researching product placement in mobile games). Through knowledge exchange activities, she builds relationships with regional organizations and contributes to policy discussions on digital ethics.
