Sarah Nicholls

Sarah Nicholls, PhD, is an Associate Research Scientist in the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. She holds a PhD from the University of Connecticut (2001). Her research focuses on mental health interventions, including nutritional programs for individuals with schizophrenia and the development of cognitive assessment tools for vocational support in severe mental illness. Dr. Nicholls has contributed to peer-reviewed studies addressing metabolic outcomes in psychiatric patients and workplace cognitive functioning assessments.

Her recent work includes clinical trials like the Baby School Recruitment and Education Initiative (primary completion 2027) and the BE-SMART therapy trial targeting brain emotion circuitry (primary completion 2022). She was recognized for long-term service by the Yale Child Study Center in 2022.
