Sarah Millington-Burgess

Dr Sarah Millington-Burgess serves as a Senior Teaching Associate in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge and is a Governing Body Fellow at Sidney Sussex College. She joined Sidney in 2020 as a College Teaching Associate and Director of Studies, becoming a Fellow in 2022. Her responsibilities include overseeing undergraduate Pharmacology education for natural scientists, medics, and vets, along with departmental outreach and public engagement initiatives.

Her academic background includes:

• Undergraduate studies in Natural Sciences at Emmanuel College, Cambridge
• MPhil in Translational Medicine and Therapeutics
• PhD and postdoctoral research in Pharmacology, funded by the British Heart Foundation

Her research expertise centers on platelet activation mechanisms and novel antithrombotic approaches within cardiovascular pharmacology, though her current role emphasizes educational leadership.
