Sarah Miano

Sarah Miano is Assistant Professor in the Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions at Ursuline College, bringing over 13 years of pediatric nursing experience across clinical practice, research, and education. She completed post-doctoral training in quality improvement and patient safety through the VA Quality Scholars program.

Her research focuses on innovative pedagogical approaches in nursing education, mental health advocacy, and supporting new nurses' transition to professional practice. Miano has received recognition for excellence in teaching, clinical practice, and leadership throughout her career.

At Ursuline, she contributes to undergraduate nursing curricula development and mentors students in evidence-based practice. Her clinical background informs translational approaches to nursing education that bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application.
