Dr. Sarah McConnell is a Term Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Ear Training at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), joining in Fall 2020. She holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of North Texas (UNT), where her dissertation explored Max Reger’s instrumental music through developing variation. Her research also includes film score analysis, choral works from a performer’s perspective, and Alaska Native Music integration in education.
