Sarah Lyle is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Eckerd College, directing the Health and Well-Being Lab. She specializes in interdisciplinary research on stress, resilience, and health across the lifespan. Her work integrates psychological, physiological, and immunological approaches to understand health disparities and adaptive coping mechanisms.
Dr. Lyle holds a B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Northern University, an M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, and a Ph.D. in Health and Developmental Psychology from the University of Georgia. She teaches courses in health psychology, developmental psychology, and research methods.
Her lab focuses on methodologies such as sleep assessment, anthropometric measurements, and acute stress testing (e.g., Cold Pressor Task, Trier Social Stress Test). Students gain hands-on experience in qualitative coding, psychosocial measurement, and statistical analysis.
