Sarah Lohmann

Sarah Lohmann is an Acting Assistant Professor at the University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson School for International Studies, with a focus on IT Governance, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and energy security. She also serves as Full-Time Teaching Faculty at the UW Information School and as an Affiliate Instructor in the Communication Leadership program.

• Education: Ph.D. in Political Science (Universität der Bundeswehr, 2013), MA in International Service (American University, 2004), BA in Communications and German (Wheaton College, 1997).

Her research bridges cybersecurity policy, hybrid warfare, and energy geopolitics, as evidenced by her 2022 books on NATO and critical infrastructure. Recent publications highlight trends in international energy relations, climate diplomacy, and counterterrorism strategies.
