Sarah Laiola is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Digital Cultural and Design Major at Coastal Carolina University. Previously, she held positions at Georgia Institute of Technology (Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow, 2016–2018) and the University of California, Riverside. Her research focuses on digital culture, new media poetics, and critical race/gender studies, exploring identity construction in digital contexts. She teaches courses in digital humanities, new media, and critical making.
