Sarah Kuborn is an Associate Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Child & Family Studies within the College of Education, Health, and Human Studies at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) with expertise in gender and sexuality education.
Her academic background includes undergraduate studies in psychology, sociology, and religious studies, followed by a Ph.D. from Kansas State University with a graduate certificate in gender, women, and sexuality studies.
Dr. Kuborn's research centers on gender and sexuality education, family life education, and human sexuality, exploring critical areas such as parent-child sexual communication, distinctions between family life and sexuality education fields, and juvenile justice models. Her work employs feminist pedagogy and strengths-based frameworks to address contemporary family dynamics.
