Dr Sarah Kehoe is a Lecturer in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Southampton's Faculty of Medicine. Her research focuses on maternal, child, and adolescent health in low- and middle-income countries, emphasizing behavioral determinants of diet and physical activity, intervention design, and food security. She leads the BM6 Medicine course, designed to widen access to medicine for underrepresented groups, and teaches public health at BSc/MSc levels. Her work integrates community engagement and global health equity.
Education: BSc in Physiology/Psychology (University of Southampton), MSc in Public Health Nutrition, and a PhD (part-time) on preconception nutrition interventions in Mumbai. She has held roles including Senior Research Fellow with the NIHR Global Health Research Group and Training Lead for capacity-building initiatives.
Research Groups: Member of the India Centre for Inclusive Growth, Centre for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease, and Institute of Developmental Sciences.
Awards: Faculty of Medicine Career Track Fellowship (2023). Supervised numerous students and co-organized international conferences. Serves as Academic Editor for Global Public Health and designs training programs in dietary assessment and anthropometry.
