Sarah Javier

Sarah Javier, PhD is a Research Fellow affiliated with the Stanford University School of Medicine and the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Her work bridges health psychology, policy advocacy, and systems-level mental health care reform.

Research focuses on culturally-tailored interventions, mental health treatment-seeking barriers in underserved populations, and implementation of culturally-competent practices within the Veterans Affairs system. Her work integrates policy analysis from her American Psychological Association graduate policy scholar experience on Capitol Hill.

Active in bipartisan mental health reform advocacy, she contributed to legislative efforts during her graduate studies and continues advocating through her VA research position.
