Sarah Horvath, MD, MSHP is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Penn State University. She holds dual qualifications with a Fellowship in Family Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Health Policy Research, both completed in 2018. Her clinical training includes an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center (2016) and an MD from Pritzker School of Medicine (2012).
Dr. Horvath's research focuses on improving access to reproductive healthcare through policy analysis and clinical innovation. Her primary interests include determining the appropriate gestational age for Rh immunoglobulin administration, evaluating the impact of healthcare policy on family planning access, and developing educational curricula for medical trainees. She is a Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute KL2 Scholar (2022-2024) and actively contributes to the Society of Family Planning.
