Sarah Hopkyns

Sarah Hopkyns is an Assistant Professor at the University of St Andrews, UK. Her work bridges sociolinguistics, language policy, and translingual practice, with a focus on linguistic landscapes, English-medium instruction (EMI), and language and identity. She has authored The Impact of Global English on Cultural Identities in the United Arab Emirates (Routledge, 2020) and co-edited Linguistic Identities in the Arab Gulf States (Routledge, 2022).
