Sarah Hixson

Sarah Hixson is an Assistant Professor in the School of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas. Her research focuses on apparel design, fashion merchandising, and sustainable production methods. She teaches courses in computer-based apparel methods, fashion brand management, and digital apparel production.

Her pedagogical approach integrates experiential learning through gamified modules and live-action roleplay to enhance student engagement. Current research explores sustainable textile applications and digital transformation in fashion education.
