Sarah England, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at Soka University of America since 2009, specializing in Central American and Caribbean studies focusing on race, gender, migration, and human rights. She teaches courses in Cultural Anthropology, Latin American Studies, and the Pacific Basin curriculum. Her research examines Garifuna migration, gender-based violence, and asylum cases, with a current project on Costa Rica’s migration dynamics. She has authored two ethnographies and numerous articles.
