Sarah E Rickless

Sarah E Rickless is a Senior Lecturer in Writing and Rhetoric at George Mason University. With teaching experience since 2007, she specializes in composition instruction for diverse learners including international students. Her scholarly work focuses on writing assessment methodologies, digital writing environments, and professional development for K-12 writing educators.

She previously directed the Northern Virginia Writing Project (2014-2019) and held leadership roles in Mason's Writing Across the Curriculum program. Her education includes a BA in English from Wesleyan University, MA in Teaching of Writing and Literature from GMU, and doctoral studies in Writing and Rhetoric.
