Sarah E Blaylock

Sarah E Blaylock, PhD, OTR/L, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at High Point University's Graduate College of Health Sciences. She holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science and an MS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

• Education: PhD in Rehabilitation Science (University of Alabama at Birmingham), MS in Occupational Therapy (University of Alabama at Birmingham).

Dr. Blaylock has been a registered occupational therapist since 2010, with expertise in low vision rehabilitation and interprofessional education. Her research focuses on improving functional outcomes for individuals with visual impairments and promoting exercise among those with multiple sclerosis. She has presented her low vision research at national conferences and published peer-reviewed manuscripts in these areas. Prior to joining High Point University, she spent five years in academia and worked in skilled nursing facilities as both a therapist and rehabilitation manager. Dr. Blaylock recently relocated to Alabama after residing in Florida for many years and enjoys time with her family and pets: a golden retriever named Luna, a cat named Pepper, and a rabbit named Beastboy.
