Dr. Sarah Durcan leads the MFA Fine Art programme at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), where she specializes in intermediality in artists' moving image. Her research explores temporalities and mediatized memories through hybrid combinations of analogue film and digital media. She holds a PhD from Birkbeck, University of London, an MA and BA from NCAD, and an MFA from Winchester, University of Southampton.
Her current projects include 'The Invisibles' (2023), exploring Irish activist Ella Young through spectro-feminist lens, and 'Troubling Time' (2021), examining hybrid media aesthetics. She has exhibited internationally at venues including Limerick City Gallery and Kevin Kavanagh Gallery.
