Sarah Desotell

Sarah Desotell is an Associate Professor of Engineering at Ripon College. She previously taught in the Department of Physics at Ripon College from 2006 to 2016. Her academic background includes a B.S. in mechanical engineering and mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UW-Platteville) and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a minor in nanoparticle science and engineering from the University of Minnesota.

Her research interests span mechanical engineering, nanoparticle science, and the integration of mathematical principles in engineering applications. While her earlier work was rooted in physics education, her current focus aligns with her engineering expertise. She remains affiliated with Ripon College, contributing to both teaching and academic leadership in engineering disciplines.
