Dr. Sarah Caudill is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, specializing in gravitational-wave searches for compact binary coalescence. She teaches courses including Pre-Dissertation Research, Introductory Classical Physics, Astronomy, and Graduate Research. As a member of LIGO and Einstein Telescope collaborations, she has served as co-chair of the LIGO-Virgo R&D group for All-sky Searches and Virgo Computing Coordinator.
Her research focuses on gravitational waves, black holes, neutron stars, and machine learning applications in astrophysics. Dr. Caudill has received significant recognition including the 2016 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics.
