Dr. Sarah Casey is a Senior Lecturer and Discipline Lead in Communication at the University of the Sunshine Coast’s School of Business and Creative Industries. She holds a PhD in Media, Communication, and Feminist Cultural Studies from Griffith University. Her research focuses on cross-disciplinary topics including rural women’s activism, digital media’s role in social change, and gender studies. She leads projects like ‘Stories of Country Women,’ documenting rural women’s experiences through microdocumentaries and podcasts. Casey is President of the Australian Women’s and Gender Studies Association and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
