Sarah Carrick

Dr. Sarah Carrick is a Senior Lecturer at the Manchester Law School, Manchester Metropolitan University, where she also serves as LLB Programme Lead. Previously, she held positions at the University of Stirling (LLB 2014, PhD 2019) and the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on sports law, intellectual property, and tax law, with a particular emphasis on athlete image rights, gender equality in sport, and access to justice for female athletes. She contributes to the Journal of Legal Aspects of Sport as an editorial board member.

Her teaching spans contract, criminal, and EU law, with current modules including UK Sports Law (LLB), Sports Law: Governance, Integrity and Commercial (BSc), and Sports Law and Business (LLM). She actively supervises PhD students in sports law, intellectual property, and tax law domains.
