Sarah Cardwell

Sarah Cardwell is a Senior Lecturer in Real Estate at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Engineering and Built Environment, part of the College of Social Sciences and Arts. She has been with the university since 2012, combining academic teaching with professional real estate expertise.

Education: Holds a BA (Hons), MSc in Property Appraisal and Management from Sheffield Hallam University, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Professional Experience: Prior to academia, she worked in real estate valuation at a national consultancy, specializing in secured lending, asset valuations, and market analysis.

Teaching Responsibilities: Leads the MSc Real Estate program and teaches valuation, asset management, and economics across undergraduate and postgraduate Built Environment courses. Modules include valuation methodologies, discounted cash flow analysis, market analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Other Activities: Delivers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions to external organizations, serves as an academic advisor, and participates in student recruitment events.
