Sarah Armitage will join Boston University’s Questrom School of Business as an Associate Professor in July 2023. She currently holds the position of Economist Fellow at the Environmental Defense Fund for the 2022-23 academic year and has completed her Ph.D. at Harvard University, focusing on environmental economics, industrial organization, and public finance.

Her research spans environmental economics, emissions reduction policies, and historical economic analysis. She has worked as a consultant at Industrial Economics, Inc., a research assistant at MIT's Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, and oversaw Prime Coalition’s inaugural impact audit for gigaton-scale emissions reduction projects.
