Sara Wharton is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, specializing in international criminal law and transnational justice systems. Her research examines jurisdictional boundaries in international law and the prosecution of serious crimes beyond the Rome Statute framework.
Research interests focus on the evolution of international criminal law, jurisdictional challenges in transnational cases, and legal frameworks for prosecuting war crimes. Teaches courses on Canadian criminal law, international criminal law, and access to justice issues. Professional experience includes work with the International Criminal Court.
