Sara Shirowzhan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Built Environment, UNSW, serving as co-convener of the Smart Cities and Infrastructure Cluster and UNSW co-lead of the Work Integrated Learning Community of Practice. She specializes in advanced GIS, BIM, digital twins, and AI applications for sustainable urban development, disaster management, and smart infrastructure. Her research spans technologies like sensing, remote sensing, and machine learning to address SDG11 and urban resilience. She holds editorial roles at Nature Scientific Reports, Sustainability, and Buildings.
