About
Dr. Sara Schroeter is an Associate Professor in Arts Education and Drama Education at the University of Regina's Faculty of Education and Director of the Centre for Educational Research, Collaboration, and Development (CERCD).
Her research sits at the intersection of anti-racist and decolonizing pedagogies, drama as cultural production, multimodal literacy, and minority language education. She investigates how drama examines race, class, gender, and sexuality in multiracial school settings, with deep expertise in Francophone minority language schools outside Quebec. Recent work expands to musical theatre representations in prairie English/French immersion schools and professional stages, alongside collaborations using drama for French language instruction.
Through CERCD leadership, Dr. Schroeter advances collaborative educational research focused on inclusive arts-based pedagogies and critical literacy development in linguistically diverse contexts.
