Sara R. Horowitz

Dr. Sara R. Horowitz is Professor of Humanities and Jewish Studies at York University's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, with joint appointments in the Departments of Humanities and Languages, Literatures & Linguistics. A leading scholar in Holocaust literature and Jewish cultural studies, her research examines narrative representations of trauma across comparative literary traditions.

• MA from Columbia University

Research Focus: Her work explores memory transmission through literature, feminist approaches to Holocaust testimony, and representations of trauma in Jewish and comparative contexts. She maintains particular expertise in gender analysis of survivor narratives and post-memory studies.
