Sara Poggesi

Sara Poggesi is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, affiliated with the Department of Management and Law. Her research focuses on women entrepreneurship, immigrant entrepreneurs, innovation dynamics, and work-life balance in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). She teaches courses including International Marketing, Marketing, and Product, Service and Innovation Management.

Her academic contributions emphasize gendered aspects of entrepreneurship, particularly in immigrant communities, alongside the interplay between innovation and SME growth strategies. She has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications since 2000, with recent work highlighting Italy’s entrepreneurial ecosystems and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in accessing financial capital.

Dr. Poggesi collaborates with international institutions through the PNICube Observatory, focusing on sustainable innovation and knowledge transfer. Her research often bridges theoretical frameworks with practical policy recommendations for fostering inclusive entrepreneurship.
