Sara Panteri is an Assistant Professor and Undergraduate Studies Director at the Department of Classical Studies. She holds a B.A. in Classics and an M.A. in Classical Philology from the University of Bologna. She earned her Ph.D. in History of Ancient Science from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Ph.D. in Classical Studies from the University of Michigan.
Her research focuses on Ancient Greek and Roman Science, Classical Greek Philosophy, and Homeric Poetry. Key areas include ancient Greek geometry, harmonic theory, and mechanics, with an emphasis on the interplay between science and philosophy in antiquity.
