Sara Magno is a Researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC), affiliated with Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She currently serves as Outreach Officer for the Transform4Europe European University Alliance, addressing sustainability challenges in the EU. Her work bridges contemporary art, documentary practices, and political discourse.
Education: PhD in Culture Studies (Universidade Católica Portuguesa/University of Copenhagen, 2023), Master's in Communication and Art (Nova University of Lisbon, 2019), and studies in Photography/Video Art at Ar.Co and Gerrit Rietveld Academy. She participated in the Maumaus Independent Study Program.
Research Interests: Explores documentary filmmaking's role in contemporary art, focusing on documentality, paraesthetics, and intersections between art and politics.
