About
Santosh Reddy Alluri is an Associate Research Scientist in the Radiology & Biomedical Imaging department at the Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on developing novel PET radiotracers for neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and receptor imaging. Key areas include sigma receptors, adrenergic receptors, and chemokine receptors.
Education: PhD in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry (University of Oslo), MSc in Chemistry (University of Leipzig).
Research Interests:
- PET radiotracer design and synthesis
- Radioligand binding studies in neurodegeneration
- Preclinical evaluation of brain-penetrant tracers
Recent Work includes:
- First PET tracer for sigma-2 receptors in non-human primates (2023)
- Fluorine-18 labeling protocols for selective radiotracer formation (2024)
- CXCR3 receptor imaging in atherosclerosis models (2023)
