Sanjay Patel

Sanjay Patel is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He serves as Co-Director of the IBM-Illinois Center for Cognitive Computing Systems Research, Director of the Alchemy Technology Foundry, and Senior Technology Advisor for the Rokwire Open-Source Initiative.

His research focuses on the intersection of Computer Architecture, Sensors, and Machine Learning, emphasizing Digital Systems for Societal Good. He has contributed to advancements in massively parallel chip design and systems architecture for emerging applications.
