About
Dr. Sang-Rok Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at New Mexico State University. His research examines the physiological mechanisms underlying muscle adaptations to exercise and nutrition across the lifespan. Dr. Lee holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology from Florida State University, complemented by master's degrees from Kookmin University and Southern Illinois University.
Research interests include:
- Oxidative stress pathways in aging skeletal muscle
- Molecular responses to combined exercise-nutrition interventions
- Impact of dietary supplements on body composition and physical function
His recent publications demonstrate consistent focus on exercise-nutrition interactions in aging populations, particularly investigating omega-3 supplementation with resistance training. Research employs both human trials and rodent models to examine metabolic, inflammatory, and functional outcomes.
