Sandy Nofyanza is a PhD student at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, and a Researcher at CIFOR-ICRAF since 2020. His research focuses on ecological economics, political economy of the environment, REDD+, and the impact of forestry policies. He holds an MA in Environmental Management and Development (Australian National University) and a BA in Economics (Universitas Padjadjaran). His PhD examines socioeconomic and environmental impacts of social forestry and protected areas on mangrove ecosystems.
