Sandy Lamalle

Sandy Lamalle is an international consultant and researcher affiliated with the Loyola Sustainability Research Centre at Concordia University. With over 20 years of experience, she has served as a legal adviser for organizations such as the European Union, United Nations, and World Health Organisation, and as a legal consultant in the United Kingdom.

• Education: Ph.D. in International Law (University of Geneva) and European Union Law (University of Strasburg); degrees in international relations, political science, and law.
• Research: Focuses on international law, environmental governance, and Indigenous rights, with postdoctoral research at CERIUM, CRDP (University of Montreal), Crépeau Centre (McGill University), Sydney International Law Centre (University of Sydney), and Centre for Legal Jurisprudence (UK Leuven).
• Projects: Co-founded the intersectorial Innovation Network on Saint-Lawrence River environmental governance (www.NotreGolfe.ca) and co-convener of ESGRREW, an Earth System Governance workgroup on environmental rights and representations, collaborating with Future Earth and UNESCO.
