Sandra Palaich

Sandra Palaich is a Senior Lecturer in the Italian program at Arizona State University's School of International Letters and Cultures. She teaches Italian language and culture courses, including a 400-level film course on representations of Italian organized crime in cinema. She co-directs a summer study abroad program in San Severino, Italy.

Education:

• M.A. in Italian Literature (Modern Italian Literature), Wayne State University, 1998.
• B.A. in English and Italian Languages and Literatures, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 1993.

Before joining ASU in 2009, she taught at the University of Michigan for 12 years, coordinating elementary Italian programs and teaching advanced language courses. She actively integrates cultural immersion and technology into her pedagogy, with a focus on bridging language learning and real-world contexts.
