Sandra Nauert

Sandra Nauert is a Contract Professor at the Department of Interpretation and Translation (DIT) within the University Language Center at the University of Bologna. She holds expertise in translation, interpretation, and intercultural studies, with a focus on museum and cultural tourism sectors. Her roles include adjunct professor, linguistic expert, and collaborator since 2021.

• PhD in Translation, Interpreting, and Intercultural Studies (University of Bologna, 2021)
• Master’s Degrees in Multimedia Translation, European Studies, and French Translation
• State-certified interpreter and sworn translator (EN, IT, FR)

Her research explores translation in cultural heritage contexts, audiovisual media, and dialogue interpretation. She led the ATRIUM grant (2015–2017) on interpreting uncomfortable architectural heritage. She has professional experience in quality control for audiovisual translation at Deluxe Digital Studios (2008–2013).

Professional affiliations include membership in BDÜ (German Translators’ Association), ICOM (International Council of Museums), and DAAD’s German Lecturers Program.
