Sandra Muyskens is a Professor of Practice at Northwestern College, where she has served since the inception of the Physician Assistant Studies program. She holds a MPAS from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a certificate in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences, alongside a B.A. from Northwestern College.
A board-certified physician assistant with nearly three decades of clinical experience, she specializes in emergency medicine. Prior to her current role, she taught at Western Michigan University and Northwest Iowa Community College.
Her professional certifications include NCCPA, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS. She is licensed in Iowa and maintains active memberships with IPAS, AAPA, and PAEA.
