Sandra Mote is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Simulation at the Susan and Alan Solomont School of Nursing within the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She has been a full-time faculty member since 2011 and holds a Ph.D. in Nursing Health Promotion (2021) from UMass Lowell, alongside advanced degrees in Nursing and a BFA in Theatre.

Her work addresses factors predicting stigma in emergency nurses and physicians caring for behavioral health patients. She integrates theatre and simulation techniques, such as using actors as standardized patients.

Key Contributions: Presented nationally on therapeutic communication, psychiatric simulation, and interprofessional education.
