Sandra Krommes

Prof. Dr. Sandra Krommes serves as Professor of Raw Material Management at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences within the Faculty of Industrial Engineering. Appointed in 2013, she leads the Sustainable Engineering & Management (SEM) research group focused on bridging academic knowledge with industrial practice.

Her research centers on sustainable resource management and circular economy principles, developing practical tools for sustainable engineering and manufacturing processes. She emphasizes transferring knowledge to students and industry partners through best practices in raw material optimization and environmental impact reduction.

Prof. Krommes actively cultivates regional and international networks between academia and industry through the SEM research group. Her work facilitates knowledge exchange between students, scientific institutions, and manufacturing enterprises. Outside academia, she enjoys outdoor activities with her family in Bavaria's mountainous regions and lakes.
