Sandra Gabriele is a Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University and currently serves as Vice-Provost, Innovation in Teaching & Learning (until 2026). Her research spans media history, newsgames, feminist media studies, and game studies.
She has supervised numerous graduate students, including PhD and MA candidates, and collaborated on projects exploring intersections between newspapers and emerging communication technologies (1890s-1920s) and contemporary digital storytelling. Her recent publications include The Sunday Paper: A Media History (2022) and the forthcoming edited special issue "Teaching media in polarized times" (2026).
