Sandra Barrueco is Professor and Director of Clinical Training in Psychology at UMBC. Her research examines developmental and mental health challenges in immigrant/bilingual children using prevention science frameworks. Focus areas include bilingual assessment methodologies, socioemotional development in immigrant families, and culturally responsive interventions.
Education: PhD in Clinical Child Psychology (University of Denver); Postdoctoral fellowships at Johns Hopkins University (Prevention Science) and Kennedy Krieger Institute (Neuropsychology).
Teaching: Methods of Assessment (PSYC 620), Human Diversity in Intervention and Research (PSYC 608). Directs BIENESTAR/Wellbeing Lab.
