Sandar Win

Sandar Win is the Division Head for Finance and Economics at Sheffield Business School, part of the College of Business, Technology and Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University. She holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bedfordshire (2013), alongside MSc, BA, and BBA degrees. Her academic career includes roles as Associate Professor at Coventry University and Senior Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire.

Research Interests: Sandar’s work focuses on banking, finance, and their societal impacts. Key areas include financial inclusion via digital technologies in developing countries, entrepreneurship in conflict zones, and poverty reduction strategies. She collaborates with organizations like Adam Smith International and Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. She serves as Secretary of the British Accounting and Finance Association’s (BAFA) Accounting and Finance in Emerging Economies (AFEE) group.
